A Typical Case of the Mondays

So, today was pretty busy. Jackson didn't want to go to school but I managed to drag him in the building right as the National Anthem started playing. I love hearing the Pre-K kids sing the NA because they tend to make up their own words. "OHHHHHH say can you see??? By the dawn's errrr liii. What the twi-hmmm we huuuuuuh, that the ROCKETS WE GLAAAAAAAAAARE and the hmmmm hmmmm hmmm MMMMMMM.."  They really get into it! A little boy in his class even brought him a present today because he couldn't come to the party. I thought that was so thoughtful! I need to get Thank You cards together. Anyway, when I went to pick him up from school today, I had the following exchange with Mrs. Washington (who I love!):

MRS. WASHINGTON: "We had a few kids saying bad words in class today..."

ME: "Uh oh" (I was thinking "Oh no, Jack said "f**k"! I just know he said "f**k"!)

MW: "Jack wasn't one of them, so don't worry. Yeah, we had to sit down with all of them and talk about how there are sometimes words that adults use but that children aren't supposed to use."

Apparently, they sat the kids down and talked to them and Mrs Washington said, "Does anyone know some of the words we can't say in Pre-K?" She was obviously looking for words like "stupid" and "butthead" and "dummy". She said Jack raised his hand and yelled out:

 "ASS!"

His teacher decided that, in hindsight, that was probably a bad question to ask, haha.

We had a picnic at the air park today under the planes. Jack was grumpy but he enjoyed looking at bugs. I think I am going to take him to the park on base tomorrow before his OT and ST. He went to sleep way too late last night and woke up earlier than he wanted to and he passed out on the sofa at 7:00. Hopefully, he sleeps all night. I love that little guy.
