Oh my gosh...it finally happened: My baby graduated from Pre-K! It was such an awesome little ceremony. I staked out the perfect seat way in advance so that I could shoot some photos for myself and a few of the other moms and it was so awesome. They came walking down the aisle in their little red caps and gowns and it was such a proud moment for me. I'll be darned if it didn't choke me up a bit to see him standing there after all he has been through this year and all that he has accomplished! He was SO proud of himself too. They all walked up to the microphone one at a time and when it was his turn, he said, "MY NAME IS JACKSON TYLER CONN! I AM FIVE YEARS OLD AND I WAS BORN IN FWOWIDA!" Eep! Then they went to stand on the little riser/bleacher things. Jack had a "moment" when they were going to sing the "RED" song. He really wanted to sing with his friend Ally, so he decided that he would go down to the microphone with her....however, it was supposed to be another little boy singing it! The teacher tried to make him go back up to the bleachers and he kind of hijacked the mic and threatened a small tantrum. Thankfully, there was another mic and they let him sing too. It was so cute and he didn't try to sing on the mic for any of the other songs, thank goodness. It was such a "Jack" thing to do. At the end of the ceremony, the kids did a victory dance and it was hilarious! Next year, he will be at the DOD schools in Germany when he starts kindergarten. That is so hard to believe because the school here was so awesome. I am nervous about him going next year and I hope they work with us but I am so, so glad that he ended up going through Pre-K this year!
