Today, I decided to spend some time with my little guy! We had a picnic at Burns Park and then we went to play at the little cabin, the red bridge and then the rocket slide. Jack LOVED the little cabin, or the "wittle cabin". He made me stay in there with him, so that he could dance, lol! He danced all over the floor, peeked out of the windows and climbed on the fences outside. We played there for at least an hour and I finally got him to get in the car and we drove to the red bridge. He liked it okay but was kind of obsessed with a big bumblebee there -- a "big buzzy bee". He dug and threw dirt, scared me repeatedly on the dock, and picked leaves off of the tree. Then we went to the Rocket Slide. This is a 3 story slide complex, shaped like a big rocket and it is for ages 5-12. I climbed all the way to the top with him the first time and he did great! After that, I just sat at the bottom and watched him GO! He looked so tiny on it but he was completely fearless. After watching him slide a few times, he made me go up there and it scared the crap out of me, haha! He did great though!
After we left, we went to THREE fabric stores to get enough fabric for me to make his Halloween shirt for his pumpkin patch photos. It is my very first applique!
