Today, we got to Skype with Daddy for the first time since he got to Afghanistan! Jack played CARS with him and was very happy to see him. We got to see Daddy's teeny tiny office and even heard some jets flying over. That was kinda cool. :)
Today was also my football mini-shoots and the pics turned out great! Jack had a few mini-breakdowns because he thinks he is supposed to be in every single photo (as seen below) but he did get some great time playing with Liam, who is also 3.
When we left the ballpark, Jack was positively WAILING for "Mommy's Coke!", so I stopped by Zaxbys to get a couple of drinks (because I was really craving some tea). I asked him ten times if he wanted coke or teababies (that is what he calls tea because I always ask him "Do you want some tea, baby?") and he howled that he wanted "MOMMY'S COKE, NOT TEABABIES!". So, what do you think he did just as soon as the lady at the window handed me his coke and my tea? He reverses and yells and yells that he needs his teababies! So, of course, I end up having to surrender my tea for some stupid coke and he guzzled it all down. Blah!
For the rest of the night, we just hung out and watched CARS and played CARS and talked about CARS, I also found out that he is STILL weird about that stupid Backyardigans episode with the Garbage Truck. Like a year ago, that episode ALWAYS made him cry and cry and scream and cry but I thought he had forgotten it. NOT SO! He saw the Backyardigans on tv tonight and started hiding his eyes. I asked him what in the world he was doing and he said he was scared of the garbage truck. I cannot believe he remembered that. That is just weird. For the rest of the night, he acted all freaked out about the darn garbage truck. I think I will take him outside tomorrow when they come pick up our trash, so he can see that garbage trucks are not scary. Sheesh.
Other than that, he dumped a glass of freezing water on my head when I was in the tub, washing my face, lol. He also got into the garbage and found some 3 day old juice box and he squirted that on my head. Yay. Now, I have frizzy hair that smells like wine. Oh! I also introduced him to The Wizard of Oz tonight (thanks YouTube!) and he LOVED IT! His favorite thing was the Horse of Many Colors and he just screamed and laughed and clapped his hands every time it changed, hehe! It was soooooooo cute! We watched that part at least 10 times. He liked the Munchkins too and called them "friends". We didn't watch any of the witch parts cause heaven knows the garbage truck was scary enough for one night.
