Today, I had some discs to deliver, so I promised Jack some 3 Flamingos if he behaved himself long enough for me to accomplish what I needed to. By the time I finished, he had thrown the following items out of the car window at various times:
1. His shoes
2. Sally (from CARS)
3. My iPhone (again....God bless whoever invented the Otter Box)
4. Sally again
5. Kleenex
This was before he got mad and started spitting. I will admit that I was just a teensy bit scared to deny him his 3 Flamingos after that ordeal, so we went anyway. Unfortunately, Jack didn't have shoes at this point *surprise, Mommy!* so I had to carry him in. For those who don't live in this neck of the woods, 3 Flamingos is a frozen yogurt place where you can serve yourself and then choose unlimited toppings from a buffet of about 30 items. However, you have to pay per ounce and that can add up quickly! Garry's grandpa got himself a yogurt there that cost about $8.00, haha! Anyway, I added just a little bit of whipped cream to mine and asked Jack if he would like any and I let him taste it. He liked it and said that he would like some, so I squirted just the tiniest amount on the side of his strawberry yogurt.
**And then it happened**
He absolutely freaked the crap out. That child just threw himself backwards, screaming, "OOOHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! You take it OFF! Mommy, NOOO!! Why you put that on Jacky's ice cream?!?! NOOO, you take it OFF!! Get it AWAY!!!!" I had to rush to the cash register and eat that whipped cream off as fast as I could and he was still freaking out. It was like he knew that this particular yogurt had now been tainted with the horrible Cream of Evil, or something. Ugh!!! I hate it when I try to do something fun for him and he ends up blowing a fit! Anyway, I took him out to the car (still hollering) and gave him his yogurt. I got into the driver's seat just in time to hear him scream at the top of his lungs. Why did he do this??? There was a tiny bit left on his spoon. :facepalm
Thankfully, that was our only mental breakdown today and Jack was a little doll for the rest of the night! He ate some Zaxby's and we cleaned up while waiting on Grandmama. And he "helped" me fold clothes, which was nice. He also helped me line up all of his CARS and I can't believe how many there are. I think that they breed at night when noone is looking because there are more and more every time I clean his room! Grandmama got here close to midnight with the whole Yo Gabba Gabba bunch that she crocheted and Jack was SO excited. He carried them around for the rest of the night.
He seems completely back to normal today, except for some green nose goo and a little scratchy voice and it is SO awesome to see him jumping around and acting silly. Tomorrow, I have a mini photoshoot and am planning on getting some stuff to make a Deployment countdown. It surely is nice to have another adult in the house to talk to, even just for the weekend.
Sometimes I feel like I am running a zoo. Every time I come in the kitchen, there is either a kid or an animal up on the counter. Tonight, it was Jack who climbed up there to play Angry Birds on my charging phone and Hefty who needed a sip of water. *see photos below*
