Of course it couldn't go seamlessly though. Arkansas has been under a major drought for quite some time now but it decided to rain on all of our stuff, so the movers just put it back in the garage or covered it up and had lunch under their truck and waited for it to pass.
*sigh*
It finally got done though and in good time. They were super nice and one of them even used to work with Jack's former pediatrician who is a completely quack. He is a registered nurse and he said that the mistakes that this guy made were the reason he quit and decided to work in his family business. Crazy, huh? I knew that pediatrician was a horrible doctor! Anyway, they got everything on the truck and estimated that we have close to 8000 pounds! Yikes!! I think we need to get rid of more stuff once we get to Germany.
Bye bye stuff! Jack had a hard time putting down the ipad to go to therapy but we finally talked him in to coming with us and I snapped a few photos of the little waiting area and so I could remember the uncomfortable red bench where I spent SO much time, haha! Just kidding -- it wasn't so bad. We are going to miss our friends there though! They helped us so much! As we were leaving, it was raining again, so Jack decided to catch raindrops on his tongue. It was run-off from the roof of the building, which is gross, but I guess it was a cute moment anyway. ;)
A tiny shoe and broken shovel:
These flip-flops are the ones I wore to my own baby shower when I was pregnant with Jackson.
And for anyone wondering what the heck is all over my garage floor, it is kitty litter that we put there to soak up some oil that spilled when the used oil container cracked. Yuck.
It was a funny moment when we were pulling away from the house for the last time, we got in the car and the song "I'm Sailing Away" by Styx came one. I just started laughing because it felt like something that would happen in a cheesy teen movie, lol.
One thing I have to say about TLF at LRAFB is that it is pretty nice and it is big! It is so nice to have a full kitchen with a table and a decent sized living room and bed. I think that everyone was happy to have the most stressful parts of the move over because Jack and I slept better than we have in a month.
Obligatory cat photos:
Play a game called "Find The Heffer"! Hefty was really scared of the movers and found a hiding spot. Can you find him?
I've known you were leaving, that this day would finally arrive. I've seen your comments on Facebook and everything.
