Day 72

Monday, November 21, 2010

Ohhh, I am not feeling so good today!  Not at all!  Jack, however, was SOOOOO happy to be home and he played all day long!  Knowing that Thursday was Thanksgiving, I decided to go ahead and go to the grocery store and Jack was really, really sweet for me!  I think he was just happy to be out of the car, lol.  He watched lots of cartoons and ended up passing out, naked, on the sofa.  I let him sleep a little while and he woke up after an hour and went to sleep.  He has decided that he is "Max" and I am "Ruby" and there are times that he won't answer to anything but "Max" and he won't call me anything but "Ruby" and he makes me act out certain episodes, lol.  It is funny to watch him play pretend.

He messed with Junebug too, lol.  I love the look on her face.  You can tell she wants to just bite his head off.

Day 71

Sunday, November 21, 2010

Today was the wedding day and I woke up feeling like death.  But the show must go on!  It was a lovely wedding and the families of the bride and the groom are wonderful folks, so I actually had a great time!  I was ready to be getting home though.  Keirstien kept Jack at the hotel and she said that, at one point, he wrapped his leg around hers and said, "I'm keeping you".  LOL!  He is so funny!  On the way home, he slept for about 25 minutes but then woke up ANGRY.  I ended up having to get off of the interstate to get him a Happy Meal at a McDonalds in a little hick town.  There were a bunch of folks in the parking lot with their big trucks and Jack was impressed with the "monster trucks".  We finally got going again and he wolfed down his whole Happy Meal and we ended up getting home around 9:45, which wasn't bad at all.  I let him watch some tv and play for a while and he passed out and slept really really good!

Day 70

Saturday, November 20, 2010

Today, I packed really quickly and ran to pick up Keirstien and Ainsley and we took off for Fayetteville.  As soon as I got on my way, my car charged pooped out, so I had to run to AT&T and get a new one.  It is really nice and charges quickly, which is wonderful!  Then, I picked up some Chikfila from the new place on McCain and we headed off to Fayetteville.  About the time we got to Conway, Jack spilled tea all over himself and freaked out.  I had to get off of the interstate and go take his clothes off.  He rode in his pull-ups the rest of the way, lol.  After that, he and Ainsley did really well and we got to Fayetteville in about 3 hours or so.  It is really pretty up there and we let Jack play on the University of Arkansas campus after we checked into the hotel (which was SUPER nice).    Jack enjoyed riding the Razorback statue and playing in the leaves and he loved being in the hotel!  That night, we watched Shrek on the tv and played CARS and he went to sleep pretty quickly.  I, on the other hand, was up until after 1:00am because I felt so awful.  Oh but one cool thing was that I saw an Eagle sitting in a tree on the side of the road!  So cool!

Day 69

Friday, November 19, 2010

Jack scared the crap out of me in the night when he woke up SCREAMING that his eye hurt!  I thought he had gouged it out in his sleep!  He scared me so badly, I ended up having to get up for a little while and take some TUMS and I realized that I didn't feel too well.  Apparently, I will be going to Fayetteville with a massive cold.  UGH!!!!  I tried to play with him outside as much as possible and we ended up running around on errands all day long and cleaning.  By the time we got ready for bed, I was exhausted!

Day 68

Thursday, November 18, 2010

Today was a deep-cleaning day, unfortunately.  I had A TON to do and Jack kept pretty well-occupied in his room for a while.  After I finished the bulk of the work, I took him outside to play, even though I was catching his cold and felt AWFUL.  He went "looking for treasure" in the garage earlier and I found a bunch of his toys, including his soccer ball and his Elefun game, so we took the soccer ball outside to play.  That child could be REALLY good!  I showed him some basic moves and he was soon dribbling that ball all over the backyard, kicking it and even doing some little cross-steps!  I was really impressed with him!

Afterward, we came in the house and I brought out the Elefun game.  I couldn't find a net for him to catch the "butterflies", so I just gave him a bowl and that worked great, lol.  He had a blast!

Funnily enough, another toy he picked out was a mirror from his tummy time mat from when he was a tiny baby.  The mirror makes cute animal noises and sings songs and he HATED it when he was a baby!!!  He would HOWL and pucker up and get his feelings SO hurt every time he even saw that mirror, much less heard it go off.  It lived under our bathroom vanity for the longest time and we finally had to find the off switch because the cats would get under there and set it off and he would hear it from 2 rooms away and start wailing.  The sounds made him laugh tonight, so I guess it only took 3 1/2 years for him to be okay with it, lol.

Day 67

Wednesday, November 17, 2010

Jack went with me on a photo shoot to Burns Park today and was pretty good, so I took him to Chilis, or "The Peppa" for some food.  He LOVED it because we haven't eaten out at a sit-down place since Garry left.  He thought it was pretty cool.

On the way home, I went to get my oil changed because I have been putting it off for a long time and that is BAD!  Gwatney Chevrolet has an absolutely humongous inflatible Santa in front and Jack was completely fascinated with it, so I took him over to look at it while they had the car.  We got about 15 feet away when he JUMPED up in my arms and said, "OH no, Mommy!  I do not want to go any closer!"  Teasingly, I asked him "But don't you want to touch Santa's leg?" and he just freaked out, haha.  He put his head on my shoulder and refused to look at Santa, so I took him back inside to wait.  He made me read a silly motorcycle magazine to him and he was bouncing on the chair beside me and accidentally fell off and scraped his head and bumped it pretty good.  It was so sad!  :(

Day 66

Tuesday, November 16, 2010

Ooooohhhhhhhhhh today was CRAZY!!!  Jack slept not-at-all last night and  I had some crazy dreams because I was up and down all night.  He keeps coughing in his sleep until he chokes, so I have to get some water for him and turn on the humidifier.  If I turn it on too soon, it gets too hot in the room and he coughs anyway.

Well, after the no sleep thing, Jack woke up and decided to brush his teeth with peanut butter.  The jar was on the counter from the night before and he sneaked it away when I was answering messages and he scooped peanut butter out, using his toothbrush and proceeded to brush his teeth with the peanut butter.  I wasn't sure it that sounded yummy or gross.

Later, I tried to feed the child EVERYTHING in the house and he decided on some Yakisoba noodles that have been in the cabinet for months.  Weird child!  I made them for him and he immediately sneezed noodles into my hair and then choked on another bite. After he yakked the noodles out, he puked them up and tried to re-eat them.  Then, when I was cleaning that up, he grabbed another bite and REALLY puked on the carpet.  ARG!!!!!

He has started recently pitching a fit whenever I get on the phone and try to talk to anyone because it interrupts his shows.  Little devil.  Today, he popped me on the mouth and said, "I said hush your mouth right now!"  He almost got his little booty spanked for that one!
